About Togara

Togara is a companion app for couples navigating infertility. It exists to help you feel less alone through daily check-ins, a private community, and a small set of tools built for both partners together.

Togara is not a medical service, a therapist, or a substitute for professional care. Nothing in this app should be treated as medical advice. For medical questions, always talk to your care team. If you're in crisis, please contact a mental health professional or, in the U.S., call or text 988.

Togara was built by Ryan Najmulski, who lived through fertility treatment with his wife, Anastassia. It's a small, independent company based in Austin, Texas.

Your data and your privacy

We take this seriously because we've been through what you're going through.

What we collect: the information you give us — your check-ins, your reflections, your journal entries, your community posts. Basic account information (name, email, gender, journey stage). Standard technical data (device type, timestamps) needed to run the app.

What we don't do:

How AI works in Togara: Togara uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to generate warm responses to your daily check-ins and short weekly reflections. When we call Claude, we send only the specific check-in data needed to generate that response — never your full history, never your community posts, never your journal. Anthropic does not use commercial API traffic (which is what Togara uses) to train their models. AI responses are meant to be supportive, not medical guidance — Claude is instructed never to offer medical advice.

Who can see what:

Your control: you can delete your account at any time by contacting us here, and we will remove your data from our systems. You can turn off AI features (like the partner translation layer) in your profile at any time.

Security: we use standard industry practices (encrypted connections, secure database access) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with the care it deserves.
